Tip 1: Decide if you want you cookie to have a chewy center, or hard bite, lots of chocolate or more dough.
It might be quite important to figure out what tickles your taste buds.
Tip 2: Butter makes it better!
Some people ask if margarine can be used instead and I always say NO! It just won’t taste the same. But if you insist then go ahead and experiment!
Tip 3: Use a stand mixer… or be prepared to put some good muscle into the mix. Of course you totally don’t need a mixer!
Tip 4: Bring everything to room temperature! I can’t stress this enough! Cold eggs or butter won't allow a proper mix.
Tip 5: Use more of golden sugar or brown sugar instead of all white sugar
Tip 6: Use good quality semi sweet chocolate. I use Costco's Semi Sweet chocolate.
Tip 7: Mix it up with some good dark chocolate roughly chopped.
Tip 8: Use real vanilla extract.
Tip 9: I also use some bread flour to give it that chewy texture!
Tip 10: Don't over bake your chocolate chip cookies. I have learnt this is probably one of the most important tips!
